That pesky little job I have is getting in the way of my online searching anyway

I have a bunch of different programs I was searching with, which is how I discovered I could use this search to check on the trade power of a lot of different weeks. Monarch Grand Riviera Shores was one of the weeks I did a test with. The 1 bedroom would not pull the 2 bedroom weeks, but would pull the 1 BR weeks. My Westin Rancho Mirage generic 1 BR would not pull the 2 bedrooms.

I didn't realize my post would generate so much activity so quickly. I'm glad to see it has been helpful for people to see how their weeks perform.

A very good trader will see the 2 bedroom units at the Marriotts and Westin (new years only at the Westin), a decent trader will see 1 bedroom units only and an okay trader will see only studios. If you see nothing, the week is not very good.

I've really seen the effect of a 1 vs. 2 bedroom trader. Some 1 bedroom units in hard to exchange for spots (5 star socal coastal summer) will not see the 2 bedrooms. I was surprised by that. I've always heard that number of bedrooms is a big deal in II and I now see this is truly the case.
It's late at night (11:35 EST) so some of the units may be gone but this is what I see with a TIGER trader w/RCI, a week #7 at Park City, UT (TPR):

3 Marriotts=three at each, one 1BR & the rest eff.
        1 Westin= three eff.
        1 LW DEO= three 1BR

So, do I fall between "decent" and "OK"?

        Phil
This week sees almost everything avail. w/RCI.

          Phil,
One of my best RCI traders is a complete dog in II. It's because it's a low quality resort in an extremely high demand area. It's a 1 bedroom unit that will only pull efficiencies at the three Marriotts and won't pull the Westin at all. At least you're seeing a 1 bedroom at a Marriott with yours... I'd stick with using it in RCI as a trader.

With my platinum floating Marriott Cypress Harbour, I tried different reserved weeks. All 2008 weeks in January and the first week in Feb did not pull the 2BRs, all later Feb and March weeks pulled everything. Day of checkin (Thurs vs, Sat) didn't seem to matter. Lesson:Instead of waiting and reserving Easter week, I probably could reserve a late Feb week and get in queue with my exchange requests a full month earlier, which I find interesting.

Maybe I need that week back - Glad you are seeing what you are seeing. My sister has stayed at Fairway Villas that week and it is FULL - because of the Northeast areas school vacation week.
You might just have to do something else besides ski!

If you can reserve week 7, I would do that VERY strong demand for that week in Orlando.

                  Great posting, much appreciated!

Have not used II since joining Fairfield/Wyndham points but was contemplating doing so soon. This has given me a great sense of what to expect.

Using FF/WVO 2 bedroom points I pulled eff and 1 bedrooms.
Using 3 bedroom points I pulled them all.

                  Thanks for the insight.

And, when you get to 15, you will be shocked at what you get when you have 100 or 1000.

I can't wait to see what you get for 5000 or 10000 points.

Using a 2BR Royal Sands (Feb/March week), I could see 2BR at both Marriotts and Westin.

Using the 1BR suite, I could only see 1BR at all 3 resorts.

That's II. Both size and quality sensitive. Kind of.... fair, ya know?

I just found it interesting that Marriott and Westin 1BR would pull a 2BR, but a Royal Sands wouldn't. I didn't mean that I thought it was unfair.

oops, I missed that point. Interesting indeed.
