  • I just purchased Villas of Cave Creek, Arizona...what week is strongest to deposit?

I am the proud new owner of Villas of Cave Creek in Arizona. I got an annual week, Float 1-52, 2 BR. I cannot believe I bought another timeshare.

Now hopefully I will be able to see some of those Westin sightings.

What is the best week to deposit? And II is the best place to deposit isn't it?

Anyone care to share any insights into trading with this resort?....Please.

    Thanks.

    John

I booked my week for late September because I thought I might use it myself. But I ended up exchanging it for a December '07 Westin Kaanapali week when the bulk showed up last month. That was my first use of it so I don't have any other hints for you, sorry. When I bought it, I didn't realize it would get the Starwood preference. I bought it to use it for our winter escapes to warmer snowless locales. I've booked my 2008 week for Super Bowl Feb 2 check-in for our own use. It sees the Westins that Angela posts. So I really have no idea about a best week. My guess is winter & major holidays. There are a ton of them available for exchange at II (developer weeks.) Check the dates and avoid those, since obviously they are not top demand.

Did you get a really good deal? I actually went there & checked it out before I bought & I love it there. But then we prefer the small homey types over the big resorts.

congrats on your purchase....we stayed there just a few weeks ago and found it charming, quiet, a bit away from the hustle and bustle of main Scottsdale and PHX resorts....refreshing. Enjoy!

I can't advise the best time, but I can tell you that Easter and TPC weeks are pretty hot weeks in AZ, in general....and July 4, believe it or not, can be pretty "hot".

Congratulations with your new purchase, John. I cannot believe how you guys buy and sell timeshares like it is pocket change. I guess it is next to developer prices but you still have to pay the maintenance fees every year as they keep coming back and go up constantly too. I hope it will give you good exchanges anyway.

Re-sale prices of timeshares seem to be at their lowest right now and I notice so many travel deals too as we get bombarded with specials every day and cheap flights too which is good for last minute deals.

            Congrats!!!!!!

John...Start with the holidays...... If you could get President's Week, or Spring Break, that Is what I would choose. Also, Xmas, NY, and Thanksgiving. Other than actual holiday weeks, I would take Feb or March.

            Enjoy!!!!

The Phoenix Open (or whatever the name is now) is Superbowl week every year - this would be a GREAT Rental or Trade.

I am now officially an SVO owner/member...I hope I will be soon.

Since I had a 2007 week with my purchase I grabbed a week 52 to deposit. Now for 2008 I guess I should try and grab a spring break Easter week.

Does anyone have that II supply/demand index for VVC since I can't seem to find it in my old II resort directory? I have not joined II yet but am trying to line up my 'ducks' before I make that next step....thanks.

I have one.....Week 6 through 13 have the highest demand, with weeks 7 & 8 being slightly less popular. Strange, since week 7 is President's Week. It's showing one box lower than top demand.

Week 51 & 52 have the next highest demand, followed by 14 through 17.

Congrat's, and welcome to the Starwood family.

Great!!!! That should get you some very good trading power.

BTW...I don't have a particular Starwood rep at II. Those that I have dealt with, seemed to be fairly knowledgeable. I haven't had any problems, at least not yet.
