Intrawest Ixtapa -- best way to get a week there?

Have given up on major exchange companies

1.Any suggestions on how to do get the Intrawest Ixtapa resort?

2.Are there private boards of owners of Intrawest somewhere that have websites? I checked Intrawest's website with no luck.

3.Any innovated ways I should investigate

Definitely NOT the same resort. Intrawest is on the beach and very nice. Ixtapa Palace is not on the beach and, well . . . ick.

Do you mind my asking why it must be Intrawest? There are relatively few timeshares in Ixtapa/Zih, so we ended up buying at Park Royal. We still trade a couple weeks every year into Pacifica. We prefer Pacifica, but it is much more $ to purchase.

Thanks. My mexico knowledge can be fit into a thimble with room to spare.

Ixtapa is not something I see a lot of in RCI and you have explained the reason for that.

Hi Lawren. No biggee. My response was not that helpful either, as Intrawest is in Zihuatanejo and I advised to expand the search to include Ixtapa- incidentally where Ixtapa Palace is located.

It also doesn't help that RCI always seems to have weeks for rent as Extra Vacations, yet trading into the area is extremely difficult. Hmmmm . . .
