OK, I'll buy that - I don't have deep knowledge in the various systems. I did know there was some funky 'visible' and 'invisible' deal with Fairfield and that some require owners to go thru RCI only.

But, in Bluegreen, I tell the BG rep what week I want "to book for deposit to RCI" and if it's available, I can have it. Then I call RCI to deposit. This gives me control over how many points I use and what trading power I need for what I want out of RCI. It's between me and Bluegreen.

I usually book a cheapo Big Cedar January studio because it uses very few points and has good enuf trading power for me. Others will try hard to get a summer Big Cedar cabin or Lodge Alley in Charleston to up the trading power. Either way, it's up to me. I don't foresee Bluegreen throwing in completely with RCI. On customer service alone, they would get significant complaints. Far better the owner control the deposit and deal with RCI for fulfillment.

No. The best deal is when the mini cuts a deal with the exchange company that allows the mini to tap anything that is in the spacebank. The mini then sets up its program so that owner surrenders a certain number of points according to some matrix for quality of resort, size of unit, and season.

Why is that better? Look at this example I posted earlier in this thread. A peak season studio in Sedona can be used to grab any 2-bedroom out of the II Spacebank - any resort, peak season.

That's because the mini has clout with the exchange company that individual owners never have.
“Maybe you shouldn't dress like that.”

“This is a blouse and skirt. I don't know what you're talking about.”

      “You shouldn't wear that body.”

II doesn't have a direct points system - they use mini's

That is correct. As anyone who has read my posts knows I have zero use for II as an individual, paying member. But as a member of the Club Sunterra system using points (options) to get II inventory, at no annual fee, II has been OK. And I've never yet had to use my full annual allotment of options to get the resort/time I've wanted from II. All holiday or summer travel too. When I compare that to placing my week (same week I use for points) I was lucky to see some studio in Pennsylvania in November - not Thanksgiving from II. It is a totally different result when the power of the mini is calling the shots. I pity the poor, paying II owner - they don't stand a chance. It's all about the big name mini's and indirect use of points with II now.

I'm familiar with most of these, but what system is "PSE"?

Judy PSE is the Preferred Status Exchange that evolved from the old Glen Ivy Resorts. There are no exchange fees within this group.

It is discussed here on this thread:
