    Yes, from both rooms.

You never know unless you ask.

Put in the request once you have your week....tell them you prefer a 2BR but will accept a 1BR PLUS you would pay an extra exchange fee ($89) to get a 1BR and studio for the same check-in date if that is available.

I wasn't aware that you could do that--interesting! Does that work only for Marriott to Marriott, or could that be Marriott to something else ie Westin?

Sounds like a good tip. We'll see what happens. Meanwhile, I'll be chipping away about missing school for a week just in case.

I used a FoxRun week 2BR to trade into Marriott Dessert Ridge {last week of march (3/30ish check-in)
At the time, I could see studios and 1BRs online - so I requested and received a full 2BR by paying a second ($121) exchange fee.
I beleive if they have it available, you can do it.

Do you request at the time that the 1BR is offered and then they let you know if something else comes up w/those dates?

I'm new to all this so bear w/me if this is a stupid question. If you get an exchange through II, do you then deal w/II or Marriott (assuming your going to a Marriott resort?

II Getaways worth the cost of membership

II Getaways are vacations for rent. We are gold members so we get an additional 25 discount. We have rented several great resorts, always 60 days out and always shoulder season. But hey, they're great resorts! Examples are Marriott Mountainside in December, Marriott Desert Springs in August, Hyatt Beaver creek in Dec. Lakeside Terrace in October. Stay flexible and the bargains are there at super resorts.

When you put in your request with II, tell them you would accept a 1BR trade but would be open with paying a second exchange fee if a 1BR and studio are available for the same date.....BUT for an Aruba trade in prime season, you probably won't get a 2BR....BUT ya never know!

Once you get your 2 confirmations with II - deal directly with the resort - requests the units be together even if you must take a lesser view or location.
