Any WorldMark owner willing to do a direct exchange with a Bluegreen owner?

I am looking for anyone willing to do a direct exchange for the WM Yellowstone resort. I am looking for a week mid July 08. I belong to the Bluegreen Vacation Club.

I would be delighted to do a direct exchange with you. The problem is that there is nothing available for West Yellowstone for July. It fully books as soon as the 13 month reservation window opens up.

Right now, there is only availability around Aug 15 and you can't book it yet.

The only thing a WM owner can do at this time is get on a waitlist for your dates.

I am on a waiting list for Lake Condominiums At Big Sky and I will have to wait a few more weeks to see if I can get a week. I just thought it would be nice to stay in a new resort hence the request for a direct exchange.

Is the Island Park Village unit through TPI? I looked on their website and didn't see the July 8th week. I do have 2 weeks deposited with them but forget about them. So now they maybe plan B. Thanks for the reminder

You should call Bluegreen and check to see if there is any inventory loaded at Big Sky for the dates you have requested. Bluegreen doesn't have much inventory there, so there may not have any units for the dates you want. By calling ahead to check you will get a sense of your chances.

I am going to be planning another week for next summer and it will also be in the western part of the country. Maybe the Grand Canyon and Hover Dam area.

I will do some more research and maybe we can do an exchange for some thing in the northern Arizona area.

Bluegreen is just starting its westward expansion. They are in the process of completing a new resort in Las Vegas. Not sure exactly when it will be done and the point table isn't even out yet.

Bluegreen has a Pono Kai in Kauai for a while now.

There is a weak rumour circulating about Bluegreen having talks with Shell Vacation Club in a potential merger of some type. Not sure if there is any validity to it.

I wish that Wyndham would sell out so it could be WorldMark by Bluegreen. For me, that would be the merger made in heaven.

Bluegreen is great if you live in the East or Midwest for lots of drive-to locations.

I have learned it is best to request with TPI if you don't see it doesn't mean they don't have it or can't get it.....

Good advise...BG only has 2 units for each of the 1st two weeks of July 08. Does this sound correct?

That doesn't surprise me. Both of those units will probably go to the Gold preferred owner who called exactly 13-months in advance of checkin and got on the waitlist at 8 am EDT.

Big Sky is an associate resort and therefore has scattered inventory.

I own a fixed week 31 at Lake Condos and it's available for 2008. I would do a direct exchange with a WM owner or a rental.
