  • Possibily Want to Buy Marriott Northeast

There are three Marriott locations we are interested in the Northeast - Boston, NJ, and Hilton Head.

We are a family of five, so we want a 2br.

We are already a member of Club Sunterra and can trade through II and hopefully SFX.

If we would use one Marriott week a year, what is the best way and most cost effective way to do it?

    Thanks for the help!

Marriott in Boston, only offers 1 bdrms, so that might not work for you. In Hilton Head, there are 8, or so Marriott timeshares, ranging in different prices, and offering 1, 2 & 3 bdrms. One of them could certainly work for you, but platinum season can be costly.

If you purchased in MFV in NJ, you would get a 2bdrm, platinum season, and the cost would be significantly less than HH. Depending on when you wanted to travel, you could trade your MFV for HH, fairly easily anytime other than June through the middle of August.

What is your idea of the perfect vacation, and when would you be planning on traveling?

If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

Sounds like a no brainer if we were to decide to buy - Fairway Villa's NJ. Also sounds like we'll plan to stay a week there next Summer to find out.

      Thanks!

If the definition of northeast includes Hilton Head, you might also want to consider the Marriott's in Williamsburg, VA.

The platinum weeks in Manor Club seem to be relatively inexpensive - they do no lock off like the adjacent Manor Club sequel units so the resale prices seem to have been beaten down somewhat.

MMC also has had lower maintenance fees than many MVCI resorts, and owners are entitled to something like 6 free rounds of golf. With all the Williamsburg stuff, it is also a great family location. (Of course, you might already live there.)
