Deposited "weeks" can search 2 years "out". Points can search 10-13 months "out". No uncertainty about either limitation.
However........a "week" owner who also has a RCI "Points" ownership can choose (and, of course, pay RCI still another fee...) to convert that "week" into RCI "points for deposit" in any given year.
My question is, if/when a "week" owner has RCI convert that week to "points for deposit" in any given year, when a search is then initiated utilizing this former week (which originally had a 2 year search window), but has now been converted to RCI "points for deposit", which search time limitation then applies --- is it the two years formerly allowed by the original week, or is it the 10-13 months limit of a "points" search?
I won't even bother asking a RCI VC, since I've learned over the years that they are historically reluctant to ever admit "I don't know" --- and mere speculation or "just a guess" is not really what I'm looking for here.
Anyone here have direct, first hand knowledge or experience in this situation?
Thanks in advance.
