SFX just called me this morning with a confirmed exchange for the Manhattan Club in NYC for July 19-26, 2008. That is exactly what I wanted and I have printed out the confirmation. I can start seriously planning the other 5 weeks of my east coast trip when the Major League Baseball schedule for 2008 is available. The rest of my trip will be all non-timeshare so I have a lot of flexibility.

That's great, John. SFX came through last week with an exact matched week for me, too, after a wait of only about a month. It looks like new deposits for next year are starting to come into their pool.

It sounds like you have another big trip in the works for next year. Have fun planning! Sometimes that is almost as fun as actually going, isn't it?

Now that your trader has been sold, how many more trades with SFX do you have pending? Or are you still using your other timeshare with them? I really wanted to buy your SLI (with all those extra weeks) but...just couldn't handle another timeshare purchase at the time.

My trader hasn't been sold. Only one of them has been. My Gaslamp Plaza Suites gets me anything that I got with SLBI. They are both pretty equal. In fact I got the Manhattan Club with a Gaslamp Plaza Suites July week mini suite upper floor. I still have 15 weeks banked at SFX, not including bonus weeks.

I have 2 pending requests for Charleston and Hawaii. The Hawaii one is tough because I specifically want just one resort for 2 consecutive weeks.

I will be making a lot more trades with SFX. The Buyer of my SLBI week is interested in buying 5 of my banked SLBI weeks.

This trip will be huge, much bigger than last year. The first thing I needed was the date for the Manhattan Club in NYC which I now have. However, I can't do any more planning until the MLB schedule is available for 2008 as we plan to go to baseball games at Yankee stadium in New York. We will just stay extra days in a hotel if the Yankees aren't in town that week. We also plan to go to games at Wrigley field in Chicago and Fenway Park in Boston. Of course we will also sightsee along the way. We are also going to go to Niagara Falls, Montreal, and Quebec city and whatever else we can think of that makes sense. I am thinking we will do a combination or air and train travel but nothing is definite yet, except for our Manhattan Club week which was really the big one. I figure we need to stay in New York City at least 10 days to see the Broadway shows, etc.

Actually planning our trip that we took in August was more fun than the trip itself except for Seattle. We are expecting much better next year.

We have another fairly big one planned for May-June 2008 which includes Charleston SC, and Tennessee centered around the Country Music festival in Nashville. I have a request pending for a timeshare in Charleston SC. Hopefully SFX will come through on that one. In any event we are going anyway regardless if we stay in hotels.
