I got rid of my one and only VRI about 2 years ago. Sorry I can't help but I still recall all the perks of owning.

Resurrecting this as I now own a VRI resort. The online system appears active, if I sign up, correct? Anyone know if I'd be able to search without depositing?

Upgrades
Do you have extras in your party this year? Exchange into a unit larger than what you own. Upgrade fees depend upon upgrade levels, reservation lead times and availability. Season upgrades are available when requested 28 days in advance for Continental US destinations and 49 days in advance for International and Hawaii resorts.
Hmmmm, how do you read this?
That you can ONLY get a season upgrade at the 28 day and 49 day mark?
VRI*ety Exchange Guide Online
and I see from the link that this s thru Trading Places?
I am remembering why this isn't the best for me as two of my three VRI weeks are considered white time (frown)

Also, I think I have loged in as not "me" and been able to search.
If you were previously a member of TPI login to VRI was the same for user name and password.Mark B.

Pat, you might be better off just trading your white weeks via TPI, as they don't take color code into consideration.

Originally posted by JudySYes, unfortunately, I believe that is correct -- you can only trade up in color at 28 days out (49 for Hawaii/MX). Trade-ups in size can be done anything for a fee.

Even though VRI is using TPI's system for the on-line exchange search function, there is a difference in availability on the two websites, I own resorts in each system and see some differences. here's an example:
Under VRI I see this:
Alii Kai II - Princeville, HI, United States
Dates: Aug 22, 2009 - Aug 29, 2009
Size: 2 Bedroom
Occupancy: 6
Alii Kai II - Princeville, HI, United States
Dates: Mar 06, 2010 - Mar 13, 2010
Size: 2 Bedroom
Occupancy: 6
TPI doesn't show these.
I don't have any deposits currently at either website but can search both. I have no idea what the exchange fee at VRI is, can't find the info on the website. The legitimate object of Government is to do for a community of people whatever they need to have done but cannot do at all or cannot do so well for themselves”- Lincoln

I will have to check that hypothesis out.Lawren

I will have to check that hypothesis out.
So you would not expect the deposits made into the VRI system to be available to the TPI system - reverse also true.

I will say that they were surprised that our TPI log-ins work on VRIety. Understand the individuals I was with really have nothing to do with that set up.Lawren

The catch of course, is individuals can only deposit their VRI/ORE/MROP week and are subject to the different trade values that VRI has in place. Like white to red etc.
Taking a fast look at the first VRIety exchange page it very closely resembles the Last Minute exchange page for TPI. I really can't say if that happens only 45 days out or not at this time. I don't have enough data.Lawren
