There is a direct exchange listing board at TUG. I've done five or six direct exchanges, three or four of which were through the TUG boards. I typically get about ten offers per year for exchange of our Kaua'i unit, but most of them are for areas in which we are not interested (mostly from people who own in Orlando).
“Maybe you shouldn't dress like that.”

“This is a blouse and skirt. I don't know what you're talking about.”

    “You shouldn't wear that body.”

I'd like to go to Ixtapa but it won't be before 2011. 2008 winter is MZT/PV, 2009 Austrailia/South Pacific/Hawaii, 2009 is Cancun's Maya Riviera for the new Velas/Mayan Palace/El Cid for 22 weeks. We are keeping a 2000 Saturn to drive to Cancun in 2010 and leave in Mexico. Then in 2011 we can fly California to Cancun, get our car, visit Belize, more Mayan ruins (we went to the main ones in 2007), then cross over toward Alcupulco, Ixtapa up etc and probably leave the car around PV/MZT until the next season.

We are still trying to figure out the technicalities. We know a car must be at least 10 years old to be left in Mexico unless we have FM3 status.

Let me know if you need any of our places. Trying to rent excess inventory is more hassle than it is worth but trading makes sense.
Sounds like some exciting Mexico travels....I think maybe you shoudl check very throughly into the rules of leaving a car in mexico that is not Mexican plated......no matter what the age of car is...without an FM3. ( We just went through a terrible ordeal with a ten year old car and problems with paperwork and such and we have FM3's, well me and kids do, but not hubby, anyway the problems were so big, the car is now back in states.....I sure miss it was very low mileage and small so convenient for here, but due to issue with paperwork could have been confiscated etc...so check the laws very, very carefully on the car.....we too thought we were fine but without husband also having FM3 and such well thanks goodness we got it out safely. Was worth a lot more than it is in states but we had to make quick decisions and well lot of stress, so proceed with extreme caution....

TUG is another site , similar to this one, Timeshare Users Group. tug2net.com ( hope I can do put that info over here). I like both sites and have been helped by many on both sites....sometimes this one is a little more fun , but then again, both are great for timeshare info...I found Tug first then this site and my welcoming over here was so wonderful I hung around....and did ya hear I won the TS4MS lottery last week......get on the band wagon..just for fun....

I just checked out TUG, seems they have alot of options for renting or selling one's timeshare. Are any of these legit? They make it seem too easy?

Just my opinion but I do not think renting nor selling your timeshare are so "Easy". I have many weeks and am thinking or renting or direct exchanging some and I am not finding it to be an easy learning curve. Along with the fact there is a lot of trust involved in direct exchanges and maybe my location makes others afraid, I am not sure.

Tug has lot of legit options but not sure how anyone really fares, and they also I think have direct exchange area over here on Timeshare Forums.
