Can someone tell me how the RCI cancellation fee system works vis-a-vis the cancellation protection fee one pays. For example, let's say I exchange to a resort and pay the $149 exchange fee and the $49 Cancellation Protection fee. And, plans change and more than 60 days out to usage, I cancel the exchange. How much of the $149 exchange fee do I get back? The RCI FAQ section states I get only $40 back. If true, than what is the $49 Cancellation Protection fee giving me? Thanks.

New cancellation policy
This is what RCI website says about their new cancellation insurance. The new insurance is $49.00 ( the old was $25.00)
What I get out of it is you are paying them to give you your original trading power back. You lose your exchange fee entirely. They also give you the $49.00 as a credit in your account to use for your next exchange.
