Is it me or does anyone else who own's a timeshare feel like they're being ripped off. I bought my timeshare about 7 years ago in Cape Cod. Back then the maintenance fee was $275 and now it's $495.
Here is why I feel I'm being ripped off. Why is it they can offer Getaways for an area and in some cases the same hotel but I can't do an exchange . So let me get this straight, they collect your money for membership fees and maintenance fees and then they put those units as getaways and you can't exchange for them. I think that's called double dipping and I think it's time to get a lawyer to investigate this organization.
I've already lost a week trying to find a place we could go. This is totally unreal and they shouldn't be allowed to do this.
If you want to see what I mean, look for a getaway in Aruba in July/August and there will be some units available, then try to exchange and nothing comes up.
