Anyone get DVC for November yet?

I have had a search in for Nov 2009 since September. Originally it was for 3 weeks at BCV and DBW. I opened it up about 2 weeks ago to all resorts and 7 week time period. Still nothing and time is ticking!!!!

I thought I would have a chance since my request was in so early.

Anyone get matched up for end of 2008?

It looks like you have an ongoing search.

Are you limiting yourself to 1 week?
If you are, I'm assuming Thanksgving week?

Try to give a month's spand, say like Anytime Nov. 1st to Nov. 30th in 2009

or try this:
II and RCI allows you to have a search last for 2 years. Why not try searching for a Nov week in 2010.

I know that woun't be until 2 years from now, but is that worth getting an exchnage even if it means 2 years out?

Something else to try:
Call the exchange company before 7am et. many times people's weeks, that have been depostied over night may come in before they put them on the system. If you call maybe every day, there might be a chance someone deposits while office hours are closed. And the rep may be able to give it to you before they put it in the system.
Also, anyone may have put the same request, you want on hold (if they beat you), but by 12am et. the exchange companies let these hold go if they've been on hold for 24 hrs or more.

Some people have said they see the inventory change at 12am et. (I think it's due to the released holds)

Try it. Let me see how it goes.

By the way, don't cancel your requests, just change it if you want to try this rought.

I'm a DVC member and I can still make an exchange for II till 12/31, but what I want has to be available for an immediate match.

My guess if I called now and wanted to do an exchange, DVC would probably deposit a week in July/Aug/Sept probably at Saratoga Springs or Old Key West. Or some off season week at HHI or Vero Beach.

As members we don't get to pick our week deposited or I really don't think our home resort.

With the end of the DVC/II relationship days away, I would really be surprised at seeing any November deposits.

From what you're saying, that's what sounds like. That would be horrible to not get to pick your own time. I believe I've missunderstood what you just said. I'm sure you can get a DVC by this next NOV but I think you're going to have to do a little more than just put on a search or look for availability.

I think your best bet if you're dieing to get a DVC vacation on a certain week out of 52 weeks in the year, is to call the exchange companies before 7am et. It seams as though they like to pull some stings for people who can do this (or from what I've been told).

I suggest requesting a DVC exchange for 2010. Not many people are looking that far in advance. Which gives you the advantage of getting a week for the soonest 2010 deposti that comes in!

Oh as a member I can book my home resort 11 months out, just booked a Grand Villa at Saratoga Springs Resort for Thanksgiving 2009.

I don't have a say in what they deposit for me in II, I can't call and tell them to deposit that reservation or my Easter week at Vero Beach in a 2br.

It's not like my volutary Starwood ski week, where I can deposit the week I reserved(though sometimes with an arguement).

Right now you can't put a request in for DVC at II, because we are leaving 12/31. You would have to wait until after the first of the year to see about RCI. I don't know if DVC is going to be available in the weeks or points system.

II called me today and confirmed an exchange that I had initiated with a request about 3 months ago. It was for a 2BR at SSR in Sept. I also have a 1BR at the Beach Club Villas for Sept.that I got a few weeks ago.

Now this would have been perfect for me. Just curious - when did you put your request in? I have had that week for a 1 BR at BCV in since October or so and it didn't match up.

That week this past year had all kinds of DVC goodies. Grand Villas at SSR and HHI. I think there were at least a couple of 2br's at SSR/OKW.
That must be a slow week for DVC, but you will be there for the first 2 MVMCP at MK.

We are checking in 11/20, Grand Villa at SSR for Thanksgiving week. Our 4th annual trip, first in a GV!

I had a HH Grand Villa in November, but we froze - I guess it was record cold that week (laughter). The Grand Villa at Disney's Hilton Head was nice, especially with the fireplace. We had a Marriott Grande Ocean unit, too, which was probably a little fancier than HH DVC. We enjoyed both very much, though.

odaddy ~ When did you put in your request for this exchange for Beach club in November? I would have loved November but had to take Sept.20 SSR 2 bedroom when it was offered to play it safe and get something.

Did you get your week online or the ongoing search? If you got it online you were really lucky. If you put in an ongoing search when did you initiate your online search?

The Beach Club is a great resort. We have only stayed there once but enjoyed our stay. Have a great trip!
