Do you mean Casa velas or Temptations?? You are not convinced of what?

Okay if you mean Casa Velas, in room suite is stocked daily and as many times as you want with sodas, bottled water, juice, beer, coffee, etc. snacks like nuts, chips, crackers, jams etc....also bottle of wine or champagne in room daily if you so desire. 24 hour room service......breakfast extensive menu as much as you wish in room or at buffet which also has an egg station with a cook making eggs as you like. Coffee and juice and such served to your table....poolside, bottled water in ice bucket served to you upon sitting, no towel cards, they are rolled up on terry covered teak loungers and you can get as many as you like, just ask....poolside menu with a variety of foods, hamburgers, steaks, sandwiches, shrimp cervice, shrimp something dish, way too much for one person....any and all kinds of drinks, top notch tequila, as much food and drink as you like. Swim up bar.....total pampering service. Lunch by pool or in restaurant overlooking pool and Koi ponds, gourmet foods, whole fish dishes, meat, shrimp, etc. etc. etc. Dinner dine by candlelight outdoors by overlooking Koi Ponds,or indoors in beautiful tiered level restaurant with a piano player, minimum 2 waiters per table, wine list extensive....champagne, mixed drinks, specialty coffees. & course meal....starts off with a chef specialty ( gourmet) a teaser, then choose an appetizer, stuffed crab and lobster clam shell, blue crab and lobster roll, just a sampling, choose a salad, organic, specialty, shrimp, ceasar, chicken, etc. , soup, lobster bisque, etc. main dish...rack of lamg, filet mignon, shrimp tepi., chicken dishes, fish dishes, to name a few...organic and diet menus as well....rolls, butter, water, etc all served...dessert...creme brulee, Paris delight, oh to many to name....then maybe a coffee, specialty, and then a chef offering again, which might be special cookies, strawberries dipped in chocolate sauce, rasberries and coconut etc. Later go to lobby bar and get more drinks....room service for guacamole or whatever you so desire, and more drinks....whatever you wish. You make reservations for dinner and there are placecards on table with your name.....when you dine at night.

We called one night and asked for a bottle of tequila and they said can't bring you the bottle but can bring you as many shots as you want...how many would you like....25??? LOL.

Another night we ordered a bottle of champagne to the room, yes sir, with ice and glasses, yes of course....and would you like some nice chocolate covered strawberries to go with that...ah..well, sure you do I'll bring those too!! Arrived with a bottle of champagne , in an ice bucket, 2 champagne flutes, and the strawberries and some more bottled water in case we needed it.

Twice daily room service...including replenishment of soap, shampoo, mouth wash, shoe shiner, toothpaste, body wash, hair conditioner....etc....

Total pampering and top notch service, from soup to nuts....free parking, free wireless internet...free use of gym, wonderful spa.....cost of course...

    No kids, adults only!!!

I think you can go on their site Grupo Velas Hotels & Resorts and then find Casa velas and then I think some of menus are on site....

I put a review on here....this is our second trip there and won't be our last....

I think we paid $150 per day AI per person and got every penny worth...we have gone out to restaurants in PV and spent on dinner more than $100. a couple and not had as good service nor food....and you never know....what you may be getting...plus you pay for water, soda and such all day and drinks all night... it adds up real quick , unless you are seeking out the cheaper places which is fine, but say a cheap margarita, it does not have good tequila and I specify no matter the drink, what type of tequila I want. You can go out in PV and pay $10. for a margarita which is made with cheap tequila....hmm..

They also have a beach club with Asian food and the shrimp tempura was to die for.....that is for lunch then we also dined at night under our own cabana overlooking beach there....very romantic...and you can go over to their sister resort Club Velas where we also love and eat at all the restaurants their as well as use their facilities and partake of their shows at night, and they give you a free shuttle over...

Yup, it is expensive and you can do it cheaper, but for a special occassion or such..this was wonderful.....Oh did I say I do not cook on vacation with hubby and I like to be pampered when on vacation...LOL...spoiled....Next up....Grand Velas and they are even more...but only one time....

The Palace resorts AI is also quite steep but we liked that as well in Playacar Palace, although it was not as fancy food as Casa velas....which is gourmet...

You either like AI's or not, we go to PV all the time so it is perfect for us as we have been out enough and seen enough...LOL..also in AI you get what you pay for....buffet meals are cheaper than sit down etc....

Either way Casa velas is worth a try one time....or a few times cause once you go...well you will go back....LOL

Actually I just looked at the Casa Velas A.I's on RCI and they are not that bad, price wise. If anything the low season prices are up a little but the high season prices are reasonable.
I'll stick it in my "one for the future" list of places to visit, when and if, I get sick of Temptations. Or maybe when my free A.I's run out.

I did a Sandals St.Lucia (not timeshare) a few years back and it was great. Im not one to try any new food/drink if i have to pay for it so it was great to try new things.... can (and did) get you into alittle trouble to try new drinks however

Well try it out sometime. I do not think you can compare prices in PV and Cancun area such as Temptations though, as it is considered a high AI for PV. Worth it to me though....

I know if I were getting free AI's at Temptations I would go there. what a deal...
