I just noticed that some resorts for weeks have A with 3 numbers instead of the traditional 4 number ID. Does anyone know why this is?

They ran out of 4 digit numbers. Probably was easier to keep the format with an Alpha.Lawren

Perhaps their computers can only handle 4 spaces without going to bi-weekly maintenance shutdowns.

When you do some online directory searches, you find there's more than meets the eye in the code-numbering system.
There are some R and BB, and who knows what else numbers.
9999 produces the 6 RCI-affialiated Wastegate resorts.
1750, a disaffiliated Wastegate resort, produces several totally-unrelated resorts.
9001 produces a list of 4 Bahaman and one Pigeon Forge resort.
9002 doesn't produce any resort.
There are currently 4,987 RCI Affiliated Resorts, so if it was just a matter of running out of four-digit numbers, that seems unlikely, even in the sleazy world of timeshare developers.RCI Member Since 24-Aug-1989/150-plus Exchanges***THE TIMESHARE GRIM REAPER~~~Exchanging/Searching/SW Florida/MO/AR/IA/Consumer Advocacy/Estate Planning/Sports/Boating/Fishing/Golf/Lake-living/Retirement****Sometimes ya just gotta be a dick
