  • Growig satisfaction with RCI

I have a good friend who owns points and is totally satisfied with it. He and his wife would never, ever consider going back to traditional weeks. Before converting to points they were very dissatisfied, and were ready to bail out of RCI, and were seriously considering abadoning at least one of their properteis.

Since converting to points, they are reenergized about timesharing. Points helped one of their resorts retain an owner as a paying owner, to the benefit, of course, of all of the owners at the resort.

We have other friends who own five timeshares and typically trade four or five weeks per year, entirely through RCI. They are completely satisifed with RCI. I guess that technically that's not growing satisfaction with RCI, because RCI hadn't sunk to start with in their opinion. But they are certainly more than satisified with RCI and their exchanges.

I keep trying to do direct exchanges with them for one of their Hawaii properties, but they are so pleased with what they get through RCI that they have no interest in trading with me for places such as Club Regina and Embassy Poi`pu.
“Maybe you shouldn't dress like that.”

“This is a blouse and skirt. I don't know what you're talking about.”

    “You shouldn't wear that body.”

It is nice to see some good opinions about a trading company.

Far more common than the other view. I could post some too but it would be repetitive. It is nice just to see a positive topic line for once.

I recently had a very good customer service experience with RCI. They did something I didn't like, but they fixed it by offering me something else in return that was more important to me than what they took away. So, I viewed it positively and appreciate their willingness to work with me.

I am not sure of the premise that there is "growing" satisfaction with RCI. At best, it's the same as it ever was. There appears to be more evidence toward growing dissatisfaction vs. more satisfaction.

I think the best way to tell which systems are better is by evaluating the portfolios of timesharers with many types of timeshares and asking them what they are doing and why. They tend to be the most informed and proactively make decisions based on informed choices amongst the alternatives.

I've always had good VG's and very reasonable treatment from RCI. Now if I could only see all the good the weeks I once did.

Generally speaking, there seems to be more interest in growing discontent than with growing satisfaction.
