  • Hyatt Wild Oak Ranch? Still with II?

Is the Hyatt Wild Oak Ranch still with Interval? I saw a posting today for RCI. I usually can't see it for whatever reason but I have seen it on occasion. Can someone please check and see if you see anything with Interval at HYS? Thanks

There's nothing available at the moment, but there was a large banking in II, not too long ago. They are still listed in the directory, as well.

    I posted these on 5/25/09.....

Thanks Angela ~ somehow I missed your listing. .. I am glad to know they still show up on II... We lost Disney and that's enough to loose for now!

Hyatt hotel inventory is available as direct rentals through RCI's affiliated rental programs and sites (I believe the exchange options that have been visible lately were simply another RCI system glitch.. Hopefully RCI will honor those!).

Hyatt Vacation Club is still only affiliated with Interval International.. Owners cannot deposit into RCI at the current time.

Confusing.. Yes... But this "blending" is fairly common in the industry. The big developments are often created as mixed-use properties, with a variety of inventory "buckets" if you will. A resort can be split into several categories such as timeshare ownership (inventoried as individual weeks), fractional ownership (inventoried as multi-week bundles), whole ownership condos, and hotel inventory.

Availability in most cases is strictly defined to a single category. In other words- timeshare owners can only book into units designated from the timeshare bucket.. Hotel reservations can only be made from units designated out of the hotel bucket.. When you try to make a reservation, if your category's bucket is empty- you'll be told there is no availability. However if you check the parking lot and looked into the windows- half the resort may actually be empty, because the other buckets are still mostly full.

These different buckets of inventory are controlled by different parts of the company, or by entirely different corporate structures that aren't always on the same page. With the decline in common travel reservations, many of the hotel "buckets" are looking for any source to fill those beds, and RCI provides a very effective source for this..
