timeshare companies that want to sell your timeshare? They start calling us as early as 8.30 AM and just now again. I wonder who is selling our name and telephone number? Recently, they are all inquiries about our timeshares in Hawaii.

I wished I had a way to see the number that is calling us so I could turn them in to the proper authorities but we don't have this on our home phone. We are unlisted and on a no call list too. Is there a way I can find this out?

They never say who the company is but it seems to be mainly from Florida.

Emmy, you should be able to get a phone with Caller ID fairly inexpensively. The service comes free in most calling plans these days. I no longer take calls from anyone that comes up "Private" or any 866 or 800 numbers. Or the 305 area code, which is Florida.

Emmy, there is a company in Florida with a link to the GMAC timeshare resales office in or around Orlando....they have called us too, and we told them to stop as we are on the DNC list....they ignored that request, ...I intend to file a complaint if they continue...here is the link

I usually let the machine answer my calls, con artists can't con well when recorded, so they just hang up.

I'm guessing they'll have a big upfront fee.
... not enough time for all the timeshares ®

I keep getting those calls, asking if we would like to sell our Bentley Brook. The strange thing is, we don't even own there!

We get them all the time. Since we have caller ID I tend not to answer the phone. When I mess up and answer the phone and it's one of these pests, I'll either tell them I'm on the do-not-call list and I'm turning them in or I just hang up. Either way gets about the same result.

If you want their phone number play along with them long enough for them to give you a contact number (tell them you'll think about it). Then turn the number in. The problem with this is you'll only encourage them to call more often. Turning the number in only adds to the pile. If the pile gets big enough then they'll go after a company. But with only a few complaints they don't waste their time investigating.

We get these pests calling all the time as well. I try to find out from where they get so much information on what we own and where. Perhaps RCI, Wyndham or our resorts make extra revenus selling owners/members lists to these companies. Some companies in the timeshare industry are selling to them these lists.
