  • Timeshare question

Hello- I have kind of a strange question. I'm thinking of buying a resale for Bentley Brook, Jiminy Peak. If I were to buy this timeshare could I use the facilities, pool, tennis, etc. at any time or only during my week? I live near by that is why I'm asking. Thanks in advance.

You would have to contact the resort for the answer. I know 1 of my resorts allows day use of the pool and grounds for registered owners. Just call and ask if they offer day privelleges.

    Ben

So you're the one that lives near there! Give them a call- the number should be in the RCI guide or maybe even here in our resort data base file.

Yeah there are a few of us tough enough to live out here But I'm thinking of picking up a low cost (<$1000) timeshare and paying the $400 yearly fee. I could probably rent the week out for $400? I just want the good parking and the ability to ski in and use the pool and changing facilities. I called and they said facilities and parking are available to owners any day as long as they show their ownership cards

I think this is one of the great things about some TS's.

I have a beachfront TS that has day privileges. It's sooooo
convenient when I'm in the mood to beach it for the day.

We don't have to schlep the beach chairs, worry about parking tickets
and meters and they've got BBQ's too.

I wish all the TS's had day privileges.

As has been mentioned, some timeshares come with year-round privileges. Beach ones are common.

            I have one for golf.

Which one offers year round golf? I don't play but I'm sure my friends would love to know which ones.

One up here. A country club where you have to own property to be a member.

Regarding beach ones, I had a problem at a certain Gulf one awhile back and a bit of the problem was the manager cow-towing to the local owners who come to the welcome breakfast every week.

The manager actually stood and guarded the donuts for the locals, from the guests. Our group had already had an encounter with him so we did not try to corrupt that weekly gathering.

Others have reported the same problem.

The resort we are going to the week after next has rules for locals, such as no sunset parties and parking restrictions. I believe they have to be gone by 5:00 PM.

88, remember this is a ski resort/summer/fall(leaf peeping) destination....so, buy a week during these times.

                    weeks 51,52,1-14 or week 24-35 and 36-41/42ish

Weeks any other time might not rent (even for $400) or trade well.
On the other hand, if you would like to visit the resort in mid May or early November every year, buy that week.

Great deal for day use privileges!

Same rules they have for me.
