I just went back into the website & read a little more about them. Jose Renta owns it. He used to work at title outlet which is the title company connected with The Ochoa brothers & The Timeshare Group. I remember when I bought my Royal Holiday points, Jose was very helpful. I was all panicky after reading all of the nightmare stories about transfering RHC. Jose helped work some of the problems out & got it to close in record time for RHC.
It's not really clear from their website, though, exactly what they do. I'm not sure how they make their money. I'm thinking it is just a site like REDWEEK, where you can just advertise your rentals, but I couldn't find anywhere on the site where it gives you listing fees.

I registered just to see what is forthcoming.
I agree the website is void of information & does not work well. I clicked to find information about listing weeks we own and got a form to register for weeks to rent.
No information anywhere about fees or how it works.
So, has everyone getting emails dealt with Orlando resale companies, or are they getting addresses somewhere else?RCI Member Since 24-Aug-1989/150-plus Exchanges***THE TIMESHARE GRIM REAPER~~~Exchanging/Searching/SW Florida/MO/AR/IA/Consumer Advocacy/Estate Planning/Sports/Boating/Fishing/Golf/Lake-living/Retirement****Sometimes ya just gotta be a dick

Jose is still employed at Title Outlet. This is just a new business venture he is working on with Rueben Resendez.
Last time I spoke with him this was still very much a work in progress, but the basic idea was that he wanted to create a free rental classified site, which in turn would generate business for him via rental escrow opportunities.
I would also assume that this site will be used to try and monetize some of the usage weeks from affiliated post card companies.
As to how they created a marketing list- I'm willing to bet all the recipients have had some email contact with one of the affiliated companies or ebay resellers.
I've always found Jose to be a very charismatic guy, but I've never been as comfortable with some of his business associates.my travel website: Vacation-Times.org.

Rent-A-Week, once having the required information will start the marketing of your resort and travel dates. We will advertise on our website, internet, newspapers, magazines, facebook, word of mouth, referrals and various other media outlets.
Rent-A-Week will notify you whenever we have someone interested in your rental. Likewise you should notify Rent-A-Week if should make any changes to your reservation or decide not to rent your week.
Our goal at Rent-A-Week is to get you a renter! By renting your unused timeshare week or weeks this will help offset your maintenance fees paid. For our service we charge a $250.00 fee per unit listed and payable only if the week or weeks are rented. All funds received are deposited into an escrow account to be distributed to you and Rent-A-Week (7) business days after the rental has passed.RCI Member Since 24-Aug-1989/150-plus Exchanges***THE TIMESHARE GRIM REAPER~~~Exchanging/Searching/SW Florida/MO/AR/IA/Consumer Advocacy/Estate Planning/Sports/Boating/Fishing/Golf/Lake-living/Retirement****Sometimes ya just gotta be a dick
