What is the story behind your TS4Ms username?

This was an interesting discussion on TUG.

Our TUG name is rickandcindy23 That is an easy one, both of our names with the 23 being our anniversary, which is 3-23, 33 years of marriage for us.

My Timeshare Forums name had to be different because Rick never posts on these forums, though I thought he would sometimes, but he just has no interest.

1. I love the movie "You've Got Mail." Meg Ryan's email name was Shopgirl (I also really love the movie "Shop Around the Corner" with Jimmy Stewart.)
2. Plus, I do stay in the "shop" all day, every day, answering phones, day in and day out, for our business: www.completechimneycleaning.com
3. While I am keeping myself available for calls, I "shop" for timeshare constantly.

You can see why Rick is bored with my occupation with timeshare. But I love it. Molly Shannon said once that you have to say "I love it" seven times straight to make it believable. "I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it."

For years, the top priority in my life was my career. I used to work over 100 hours per week and advancement was all I really cared about. I was brought up to live for tomorrow. So, I was always working or saving and investing my money. I didn't drive fancy cars and we didn't take many vacations.

In 2000, we sold my company. I had a few bucks in my pocket and so I decided to buy a convertible. That was something I always wanted, but I would never waste my money on.

I test drove all of them and I settled on buying a Honda S2000. A very nice convertible for a value conscious consumer. After a few months of driving that car, I decided I needed more power. So, I joined the Honda S2000 message board to figure out the best way to supercharge my car and I needed a screen name. I needed a name that was completely the opposite of what I had been and characterized what I wanted to be.

Since I live in Boca Raton and I loved Frankie Avalon and Annette Funicello growing up, I figured that a travelling Beach Bum would be the new metaphor for my life. I moved to Boca Raton in 1999. So, I came up with BocaBum99.

I meet Boca last August when he came up to Plam Beach were we were staying.

I can tell you that he certainly does not dress like Cliff Robertson did for that part in the movie.

IMHO he dresses more like Jabba the Hut from Star Wars. I fact IMHO Boca looks almost the same as Jabba the Hut, but I think Jabba is a few pounds lighter. After meeting Bigfrank and Boca and seeing Tonyg in a picture posted on the net it would not surprize if they were triplelets and blood realitives of Jabba the Hut.
