  • What do you guys think?

Do you guys think this is a good deal? I live within a few hours of this place and would use the "home" location alot.

    Thanks for the input!

WYNDHAM GLACIER CANYON WI DELLS 322 K POINTS TIMESHARE - eBay (item 390163895624 end time Mar-30-10 17:40:05 PDT)

It looks like a nice resort. In general, I think all Wyndam's are nice. MF's are about $2K per year. Will your use each year be worth that or will you be able to recoup that much in rentals? That $2K never goes away and it likely gets higher nearly every year.

You should probably post in the Wyndham/Fairfield forum to get opinions on the mf's on that level of Wyndham points.

I agree that looks like a good deal, however- I never recommend Newbies purchase from eBay.. Too many scary stories from that venue..

If you do decide to purchase, you might want to consider insisting on using your own closing agent (at your cost) to ensure the ownership is verified as free and clear and that you are getting what the ad says!

MF is little high. But it is a relatively new resort and has water park access.

If you can plan from 13 to 10 month, and do plan to visit it during summer time, it will be great buy.

If you plan to make reservation as last min. because you are really close to it, than it matter much less where you own in Wyndham. So maybe you should looking at better MF ratio place.

The usage start at July, but you are paying MF from Jan this year. That is your total cost.

On the other hand, the seller thrown in 0 close and 0 transfer that usually close to 600 to 700 for your benefits.

          Wyndam Resort/Points

Hi ... my only contribution is NEVER buy points. It does seem like a LARGE amount of points, but do some due diligence. CALL the resort, verify that the person selling is actually an owner there. ASK the resort, how many points does it take for a week or two, however many you are supposed to be able to get for 322,000 points. And the MFs really do seem high and WILL only go higher EACH year. We've never seen a year remain the same. IMHO

I never recommend Newbies purchase from eBay
This is good advice. I am a Wyndham owner, and have purchased timeshares on ebay. But, my first Wyn purchase was from a reputable Wyndham reseller by the name of Tom Cornelius. There are others (including Angel England and a few other names that don't spring to mind right now.) The advantage of going through "a name" is that they take the time to tell you what you need to know, and they are exceedingly careful about what they are (and are not) selling.
