I wanted to ask some general questions and get feedback from HSI members on such things as burn weeks, and the entire process/fees thats involved with booking, etc. Anyone have experience with this?

In a nutshell, burn weeks are highly-discounted vacation weeks through HSI at hotels and resorts all over the globe that are booked within 60 days. Huge variety of places to choose from....and with proper marketing/homework could actually become lucrative

Not sure about HSI myself

We just got back from The Grand Mayan in Playa de Carmen Mexico and we almost bought a unit. After we signed the papers, we had a gut feeling that something wasn't right and I'm glad we canceled.
We were told that HSI would pay for all of our monthly dues if we paid the $99 to allow them to rent our timeshare out. I've been looking today to find any info out about them and everything I see seems to steer me away from them as well.

If anyone has any other thoughts or can tell me something good, I'd welcome the post.
