    I know I've seen something about this before, but what happens when there is a week 53?

    you wanna be more specific?

    There are 52 weeks in a year
    52x7=364
    365/7=52.143
    366/7=52.286
    1/7=.143
    2/7=.286

    from this you can say that there is always at least a one in seven chance of the 'timeshare' calendar having a week 53

    stupid people (like timeshare salesmen) think week 53 happens because of Leap Year, it does not, but you can see from the math above that it is twice as likely in a leap year because a leap year has two extra days and a non Leap Year only has one extra day. Sometimes there are two start days with a Wk53 in the Leap Year!

    IF the extra day is the start of a timeshare week than a Wk53 exists, IF your week starts on a Saturday and the year has 53 Saturdays, presto, there's a week 53, If it has 53 Saturdays and your week starts on Sunday, there is no week 53.

    how resorts handle Wk53 is all up to that resort, some give it for free to the owner of Wk52, some give it to the owner of Wk52 IF she pays an extra Maintenance fee, some just sell it off to any owner for the MF - first come first served, some just use it to benefit the developer or HOA.
    ... not enough time for all the timeshares ®
