I have noticed the foreclosures that are somewhat desireable have gotten contracts, and new ones are not being added as fast as they were.

Everything that I have any interest in gets bought.

There are a lot in Naples.

I'm still around and in fact I'm headed to the Tampa area for a long weekend. Florida's once more on my mind, now that the weather's cooling off. JLB - I like the Craigslist idea, in fact I inquired about the cute house you linked, but it's booked Jan-April! I'm curious, do you go back to the same FL rental(s) every year?

Well, we're RCI, so most of us know the answer to that.

We have several golf friends from here that do, or that own a winter place in SW FL.

One of those oldtime Florida bungalos in the same area (Anna Maria Island) was a foreclosure recently, it was high-priced, and it got a contract.

One I have posted is going to auction:

CAPE HAZE Auction - 3979 CAPE HAZE DR #A5 CAPE HAZE, FL 33946 - Auction.com

This is the first day for me with this site, and it is where the fannie maes that don't get bought go. Might be a great place for a good deal.

Here's a deal in Rapmark's development. It would be a great buy in a nice place.

Lee County, FL - Fannie Mae REO Homes For Sale

                  Here's the neighborhood. Nice huh?

wow, this should be at least 200 thousand. it probably has a view of the golf course. It doesn't appear to be in bad shape either.

                    Last buyer paid $270.

smallest house in subdivision, only a few of them were built. has a two car garage and a covered screened lanai. with t e aeriel view I don't think you can see the golfcourse.

Bet if it was offered just like it is now when y'all were looking, you woulda taken it in heartbeat.

                      It won't last long.

It looks like it sits rotated 90 degrees, with the front of the house facing to the right. Kinda neat.

Here's another one on the same block for $214. It's like they left out a 1 ($199,900) on the first one.

It is on 7, but squeezed out by other houses. You can probably see the lake on 7 from the Florida room.

                        Actually, not far from you.

One has $92 fees, the other $294.

the $92 fee is just for Homeowners II, and covers all the yard work, irrigation, etc. The bigger fee is the homeowners association and the master board. the master board pays for the golf course, pools, clubhouse, restaurant, tv package, roads etc, it is about 200 a month. that first house is paying both even if they didn't mention it.
I would guess this house is under contract, they tend to list them just to get interest.

                            Omg!

I went and looked at it. the kitchen and bathrooms have been torn out, as if the people were going to remodel and then walked away from it. Needs new carpeting, paint, fixtures, etc, etc, etc, . Plus it is such a small house that you could put all that money and work into it and still have a small house. Ont he lanai, yu can see peole playing hole number 7. It is on a corner and it's back is backing up to the side of another home.
