  • Have you ever done a covert operation?

    Okay,
I know this one is going to be a little controversial but I'm curious to know anyway,

Have you ever done a covert pooch or kitty operation in your TS stay?

I've gotta admit that I've done this a few times although the resorts clearly state NO DOGS ALLOWED.

So anyone else willing to share?

The next time you're thinking about bringing your pets...

I'll try to put this nicely....

Think about the next person with severe allergies that might have to check into the same exact room right after you leave which might be wondering why they are feeling uncomfortable in the room, having an attack on vacation or having to run to the hospital.

      Katie,

I'm sooooo totally aware of the allergy issue as I've got both asthma and all sorts of allergies myself and take steroids to control it daily but I have to say that the pet thing isn't as bad for me as walking into a TS that had a smoker in it before me. Unfortunately that has happened quite a few times and there is just no way to get those fumes out either.

Wouldn't dream of it. One: I'd rather not pay the room recovery fee. Two: I'd rather not spend my vacation skulking around hoping no one will rat me out. Three: I'm not seeing why some smokers' inconsiderate behavior justifies yours.

Besides all the other ethical reasons not to.....

I was tempted to, but did not as my Beagles loved to bay/howl.

And besides, I'm the type who will always get caught. This is why I never stole anything as a kid. Not because I was Miss Goody Two Shoes, but I knew that I would be the one caught.

Getting caught could mean the revokation of ownership (if at your home resort) or being tossed out.

So does this mean you waited to be an adult to steal?

              No way.

For starters, my dog sheds. That's not an easy thing to eradicate nor hide, and attempting to do so could cause next person extreme distress.

Then, she has excessive exercise needs - can't quite deal with that covertly. looonnnnng walks a couple times a day. drive somewhere so she can walk? silly.

She's pretty quiet but could let a woof out here and there. she loves balconies and her rule is no barking. she barks, she comes back inside.

I respect the rules. If my girl isn't welcome, she's not going, and possibly, neither are we.

Yes ! You now know my secret shame................. I am a klepto.

That's why I became a lawyer. My defense attorney fees were so excessive that I thought, "if I was a lawyer, I could save a bundle on attorney fees !"

Life could have been worse you could have ended up being a politician and really become a crook.

Yes, I know I've been a rule breaker and a very, very bad girl, but my pooch was a miniature pincher that weighed all of 4 pounds 11 ounces and didn't bark and used to fit in my purse. She had liver problems and needed daily meds so I was always hesitant to leave her in the hands of any ol dog sitter as I feared she would die prematurely so she was my covert pooch.

I knew asking this poll would expose me to a public lashing.

I no longer own a dog as she is running the fields of heaven now and since I live in a condo, I only own cats and thus was the reason for owning cats over dogs for me now, as my lifestyle of romping the world doesn't sit well with a dog anymore. My cats, I would never dream of taking with me as they don't travel well at all and are of course much more allergenic.

Well Beags please don't have me arrested for my former "crimes". I'm truly repentant and have come clean.

                          I don't arrest. That's for the P.D.

I can get you off on an insanity plea, though.
If you ever bought full price from a developer, this could work.

Chriske, are you the one posting a while back about parking at Bonnet Creek when and where you wanted if you went to Disney for a day just because you owned there? It sounds pretty selfish to do as you please and disregard pet rules or any other rules that are in place for many reasons. Most people with this attitude are not nearly as important as they think they are.

Let's soften the tone here, please.

Katie got her point across without harshness.
