And how would you enjoy your vaction if you were the one in that unit after a pet owner broke the RULES and you spent part of that time in the ER due to your child's extreme allergies to pet dander?
People who break the pet rule are the same as those who break the smoking rule...it's all about me, me, me; as long as I got mine, that's all that matters.

We have a great place for the dog to stay, a farm in the country that does nothing but watch dogs. They have a big refurbished barn with individual stalls for each dog or family of dogs, and a huge corral for the dogs to run around. It's like sending the dog to camp!
The best part is that they come and pick up our dog, take her out to the farm, and when it's time to come home, they bring her back. Great for those two-week timeshare vacations. We picked her up there once and I was telling my husband that it was considerably nicer than some of the places we've stayed!
I love all animals, I also traveled quite a bit for work and love vacation travel. My lifestyle hasn't allowed me to own a dog since I was 17 as it would be very selfish of me to have one and then leave it constantly. My cats give me enough of the evil eye and cold shoulder when I leave them! They know what a suitcase means.
I have a great pet sitter who comes by every day.
I would never for a second break the rules and bring a pet to a timeshare property that doesn't permit them.
List is missing at least Four Seasons Aviara and Affinia Dumont both of which permit pets with a token fee.
Silverleaf no long allows pets.
I know Jericap created and updates a pet friendly list here and I'll see if I can locate that...
Just want to add, I'm not a pet hater, I've owned both cats and dogs and traveled with both, but would never think of taking them into a place that didn't allow them. Currently, since we're retired and live (and travel between) two different places, we no longer have any pets.
As much as we love our dog, we never take her on vacation with us. I would never stay in a timeshare nor hotel that allowed pets and we are in hotels or timeshares approximately 70 nights a year. I think that people that try to circumvent the regulations, no matter what they are, are very selfish people that only think of themselves.
What surprises me is how much some of you have to pay for a kennel. Our kennel charges $21 /day for a mid size dog. The kennel is very nice and they take excellent care of the animals. In any event, I would pay whatever the price is to board her while we are gone.

Our pet sitter charges a bit less, I think - considerably less for our cats, but of course she walks dogs and whatnot. Sometimes she keeps the dog with her in the car for the day, when it's a dog that gets anxious while alone! I know someone said they boarded with their vet, which in my experience is the most expensive way to go. Kennels are cheaper than the vet, and then pet sitters cheaper yet. Friends and family are generally the cheapest, but I'd rather have a pet lover with my critters than someone hubby conned into it.
My friend, Saint Kenny, watches the dogs and stays here and cleans up the house!!!! Sometimes I think the dogs like him more than us. It's a good thing!! shaggy
Well technically it was on bonus time and not a whole week but I did do it. My resort allows pets but at $40-$50 a night. He was fine. We were fine. No one knew.
