  • buying on the resale market

We are looking to buy a timeshare at Tahiti Village (after we rescind our purchase from the developer). We want to buy it on the re-sale market. Any tips about where to look, what to lookout for, etc?

    Thank you!

Are you really sold on this place or are you open to other ideas? We are fine with what you really want either way...but you really need to take some time, slow down, and really see if TV meets your needs.

If you want, tell us what you are really looking for....how you vacation, where you like to go, kids or no kids with vacation schedule restrictions etc, unit size needs, extended family going, etc etc. There are so many things to consider before you buy to be sure you get what you really want.

Most people on this web site love their timeshares and would recommend them to their friends. BUT it is smart to decide exactly what you want and how you'll use your TS before buying.

ALL TS are associated with a big exchange company like Interval or RCI. So don't but a TS based on the things which the exchange companies offer. Buy based on what the resort offers.

My family loves Whistler BC during anytime of the year and we now own 2 weeks there plus another week in a points based TS which has a location there. We have been able to vacation frequently in Whistler and trade in II for TS around the country.

Some peolpe need a super high quality resort like a Marriott, Hilton or Westin branded TS. You can spend big bucks for such a TS. Or if you're a little less luxury minded you can spend anywhere from $500 - $5000 for a great TS which you'll enjoy for years of vacations.

With this info, we may be able to start you in the direction of what may suit you best.

      Good Luck and welcome

The New Tahiti Village looks awesome. I can't wait to stay there sometime.

I think I saw one on ebay this past week and it ends soon, if not already.
If you are serious about that location, check ebay quickly.

That will give you the best market price.
