  • Saving our HOA $$

I am looking for way to save on printing and mailing costs.

Our resorts send out a full color newsletter 4 times a year.
Management tells us, the cost would be the same in black and white?
Which doesnt make sense to me, but maybe it's true

Also, I had heard that there are companies that will pay for the mailings if you include thier advertising? Does anyone know anything about this?

Yeah timesharing today will do it and there is another place that will pay for the mailing.

In addition to Timesharing Today, others that will pay the HOA's postage for a newsletter mailing are Dial-an-Exchange and Platinum Interchange.

That's three mailings with free postage if you use each of them.

Thanks I will check into those.. I think resorttime should be paying for our mailings since they put a full page advertisement in all our newsletters. I asked about this and was told, they pay if the postage goes over.

Why don't you offer everyone a free timeshareforums email account and email the newsletter to them.

I agree with BocaBum. Email a pdf newsletter. As an owner, I would MUCH prefer an electronic copy, (with searchable text, if it's PDF) to a paper one. Owners could always print a copy at home if they wanted to.

Polo Towers actually has an electronic copy of their latest newsletter, "Facets", on their website in the owners section.

You can get there and download it, even if you're not an owner.

It is avaliable on our website.. but our resort is older than dirt.. and the owners are older than that

many have no idea how to use computers, much less the internet

GPR management is willing to email the newsletter....they offer that service at GPP and CSR.

What if the resort started a database of owners who would prefer receiving the pdf form? It wouldn't cover everyone, but would help.

I don't think we have the server capacity to offer free e-mail accounts at timeshareforum, if we even could do it. Of course, some owners not having computers would add another little wrinkle to that idea.

Two of my resorts recently sent out postcard asking owner to provide email address to receive thier correspondences and newsletters. The resort will continue to provide hard copies for those still prefer or unable to receive email.
