Had to go home for two days during timeshare vacation

I just got back last week from a planned three weeks in Florida during spring break. This was supposed to be our annual family vacation with our married kids and our 3 grandkids. Back in November by daughter told me she was expecting twins at the end of April so they were not coming. My other married daughter also said she would stay home this year so I left on March 19th for 3 weeks in Florida.

On Monday, March 22nd my daughter called to let me know she had to rush to the hospital early that morning and that she had the twins, a boy and a girl so I got a flight home the next day and headed straight to the hospital to see my daughter and newest grandkids. I stayed for two days and visited again for most of the next day and then headed back to Florida on Thursday.

So sometimes having to come home during a vacation can actually be a good thing.

Anyone else ever had this much excitement during a vacation?

Having to leave a fun vacation for a birth is so much better then for other reasons!

Congratulations on the newest precious additions to your family.

4 years ago, my cousin was due in May with girl/boy twins.
On March 22, (her own birthday), as she was getting ready to go out to dinner to celebrate, her water broke and the babies were delivered via emergency c-section, about 10 weeks premature. They remained in Stanford's NICU for several weeks, but thankfully, everything worked out fine.

The twins recently celebrated their 4th birthday, along with their Mom.

My Son in Law's Grandmother and the new twins will also be sharing birthday's on March 22 next year they will be 1 and great grandma will be 93.

Twins are doing great and the girl stayed in the hospital just a couple of days after my daughter was discharged. Her brother took a couple of weeks longer but finally got to go home yesterday.
