Please excuse me if a similar thread has already been posted. I haven't been able to find any answers yet, so here goes...
My husband and I are thinking of listing our TS but I'm wondering how we should word the ad. I rang the resort that we are deeded to and they said that it is a points package and it is only assigned a unit because it needs one on the deed, so the new owners will get the same points package once all paperwork etc are done.
I've looked up a few listings from the same resort on various resale websites, and they are advertised as fixed unit type and week. Doesn't anyone sell their points package?
I've also had a few conflicting advice from different resellers: one saying I will need to surrender my points to get a fixed week/unit type to be able to sell, because the points cannot be transferred. Another said to check there might an upgrade fee to transfer the points as some resorts will revert the t/s back to a fixed week/fixed unit (resort said no). And the third said there were no problems selling as it is.
Has anyone been this confused as I have?
