  • Trade Points

I'm sorry if this is a complete noob question. I'm just beginning to learn about the world timesharing. I tried to join RCI and II in hopes of finding out which resorts are good points to purchase price ratio. So I can be better informed when I go to purchase my first timeshare. (My timeshare objective is to not go back to the same place over and over but to use it to trade so we can travel to other parts of the world using points.)

Unfortunately, those sites weren't free to join. Does anyone know where I can find this information? How many trade points they give out for each resort, how much will it cost for me to borrow from a certain resort.. etc. Any sort of guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all.

Here is a link to an RCI publication that can give you a general idea of what it takes to trade into all of the areas in the world. This is only a guideline. The number of points designated for the unit you buy could vary from the unit next door and it may be vastly more than what is on the grid where that link takes you.

There are lots of points systems and they all require differing amounts of points to get where you want to go. One RCI point does not equal one Bluegreen point does not equal one WorldMark point does not equal one Wyndham point, etc....

There is a good deal on 91K+ RCI points in the timeshareforums classifieds right now. You can also get around that amount at Vacation Village at Parkway on ebay for a little more upfront money.

You should post that question on the Bluegreen Resorts forum.
