Are you guys getting bombarded by TS reseller companies offering to rent or sell your TS?

I am getting at least one call a day and sometimes 2.
    It's getting annoying.
Where are they buying my number from?

Now if I see an out of area, area code, it's likely one of these annoying TS resellers.

I have the same recording calling me everyday and the guys voice is really annoying, doesn't this thing ever drop you from the list?

How do I get this stopped?

We get them all the time despite being on the no-call list. Most of the time I just hang up on them and don't worry about it. Telling them we're on the no-call list and asking them not to call only seems to encourage them to call some more. Hanging up on them seems to slow them down a little.

Every now and again, when I have a little time to kill, I play with them on the phone. I'll let them run through their script about selling my timeshare then ask them, what sort of timeshares have you got to sell me? That usually stumps them and they struggle for an answer. Of course the come back is that if they can't tell me what they have to sell, what confidence should I have that they'll be able to sell MY timeshare. Then I hang up.

I am getting MORE and MORE calls as well.

Since a number comes up on my caller ID - is there a way to "report" them to someone for a violation of the DNC request - as I am also on the "Do Not Call" list?

Check out the website for your state attorney general. There should be a page where you can file a complaint.
I don't get many of these calls anymore because I always tell them I am very happy with my timeshare and it is already booked two years ahead.

It is fairly easy to spoof the caller ID number. I would not assume it is correct.

We've been lucky (knock on wood) that our number of annoying calls has dropped. We generally don't answer calls from numbers we don't recognize, but if I'm on the upstairs phone (no caller ID), I don't hang up. Rather, I just lay the phone down and wait for them to hang up. I figure this costs them an extra 20 seconds, and that's 20 seconds where they're not bugging someone else.

Wasting their time is the best way to make the business model unprofitable.

I wish that worked for us. In our case, it just seems to spur them on. Maybe it's because we have 8 deeds in our name?

                annoying resales calls

Report them to the Attorney General especially if you are the do not call list get the name of person and company.
                Hang up,
tell them you are not interested
and I really like the one that just layed the phone down till they hung up

Take it from someone who got experienced the hard way

But most of all do not pay up front fees

If you happen to have a little patience (and a twisted mind), lead them on. Keep talking to them to keep them on the line for as long as possible. They'll get tired of hearing from you and that's less time they have to make other annoying phone calls and costing them money for the call and potential lost sales.
When my kids were small - before caller ID and DO NOT CALL - I would given them the phone and tell them to talk to the "nice" lady or man. I'd put on the speaker phone just to make sure the conversations didn't get out of hand or crude. My mother used to give sales callers the "lonely" person who wanted someone to talk to spiel, then start making up all kinds of tales of her life story and "ailments." She didn't given them a chance to get a word in, forcing them to hang up on her.

I love the idea of putting the phone down and letting them yap or telling them all about my ailments but they are calling my cell phone so it would be eating up my minutes.

I think they are blocking the phone number because the caller ID is showing 12 digit numbers not 10 digits so not sure what kind of software they are using or if they are using an out of country service to spam my cell phone.

                    Hopefully they'll just go away.

I was getting tons and tons recently...

I did a bit of research on the do not call thing. check out these sites:

                      To file a complaint online:

                      FCC Consumer Complaints

FCC Fact Sheet on preventing unwanted calls:

                      Unwanted Telephone Marketing Calls

I interrupted the last guy who called me by saying "I'm on the Do Not Call list, may I have your callback number?" and he HUNG UP on me! I called the caller ID number (they're required by law to have one) to have my name removed from their list, reported the jerk who hung up on me, and got myself off of their list. If that particular operation calls again I will report them.

The recorded line one is definitely illegal. I can't remember the details but see the FCC fact sheet link above. Report that one right away. Is it the obnoxious lady who says "I haven't talked to you in a while". Annoying!
