This past week we were in Kauai at the Point at Poipu and attended an "Owner Update" at the resort. The experience was probably the best one that we have been to. It had been a couple of years and the front line salesperson was very pleasant - I think she was pretty new. We discussed the usual stuff and said that we were not interested in purchasing at this time. When the second team arrived and started into the hard sell, it wasnt as bad as some in the past. I asked about getting resale points registered into the club, and was given the expected runaround with no real answer other than you have to negotiate. We were given a $100 voucher at the end and the time was very near the 90 min advertised.
The resort was well worth the trip and after some of the earlier comments about nothing to do on the Island, we were pleasantly surprised. This time of year is not very crowded and there are plenty of activities available. There is more hiking available than most other places and lots to see. We have plenty left for next time as we will certainly return.
