Has anyone actually used the points system for Festiva in the past year? All of the current posts are from 2005-2007. I have just purchases 3000 points but have 4 days to cancel if I get bad reviews. Please respond asap. Thanks a million.

I know nothing about your situation other than in my 20-plus years of timesharing I have read enough to know that if you bought retail and from Festiva, you need to cancel.

Have you googled Festiva and read anything about them?

There are a lot of posts about Festiva OY (TUG) and they are overwhelmingly bad. I would run not walk away from Festiva.

Cancel while you can, than you can do extra study, when you understand what you actually have and decide you still want to purchase from developer, than you can still go there and buy from them.

My understanding is it is RTU for 40 years (not sure the exact number of years) contract. It has its own issues, but seems like the developer is trying to build its own operation back. But it usually take a long time to do that, and one or 2 bad sale centers will push it back to ground.

It is private developer, and I believe they have certain limitations on getting resource. Thus, one easy resource is go through the management. It has some developement, but not many. And I don't see it goes up soon in this kind of environment. It has a lot of issues ahead of them, will be a long road to be success. I don't know if you want to stay with them over the stiff uphill.

You may want to joint the Yahoo PepperTree / Equivest group which is the club that Festiva took over and try to digest it. Peppertree-EquivestOwners : Peppertree Timesh-Vacatn Club/Festiva

Follow the contract and cancel it.

Festiva timeshare - newbie needs HELP - ASAP

We just bought Festiva adventure club timeshare for over $8,000 and 3,000 points. He wanted to buy our Wyndom time share but thank God my hubby said no. It sounded so great but now that I have read several reviews - I'm frightened that we have bought a scam job. I have 3 days to cancel. Please help!

Absolutely cancel immediately. if you really want Festiva points you can buy them on eBay for $1 for a whole bunch of them., but I would not even give a dollar for any number of them. This is one of the most scammy points operations out there, on par with ''The Bullfrog'' in South Africa.

Make sure you follow the instructions to the letter and use certified mail return receipt requested and keep a copy of your letter as well as all mail receipts.

Cancel immediately. Even resale, I think there are several much more attractive mini-systems.
