  • lookin for Info On Highend Vacation Properties

Can anyone tell me if they have ever heard of this company? The company says they are based out of Kansas City and they find buyers for your timeshare weeks. My timeshare is in Mexico. I can't seem to find anything on them that says they are a ligitimate company. I asked them that question and they say because they deal only with International Corporations, they don't operate in the US. I checked with the BBB in Missouri and there is no information on them, good or bad. They also deal with an escrow company that supposedly is based in Colorado and again, I can't find anything on Corporate American Escrow. Has anyone ever had a successful transaction with either one of these companies?

How much they ask you to pay in-front? If more than $300, it is bad.

What they told you your property will get? If they say they have buyer already and the price is close to even 1/2 of the cost developer charges, that is really bad.

Old story used often by scam artists. Stay away, they only want an upfront fee.

Highend Vacation Properties says they don't charge for upfront Fees, but Corporate American Escrow is the company that says they require the 5% commission for Highend before they can close. Yes, the amount is more than $300.00. Thank you for your answers, they do help.

Quick step around the upfront fee, but if you paid it I would wager that the deal would fall through and a refund would not be forthcoming. In the past others have got around the upfront fee by asking for a fee for an appraisal and that scam ended with a few prison terms.

Unfortunately, I did pay it. They sent me a rental contract that looked legit and I didn't bother to further research the two companies. After I paid the money is when I started investigating, (I know bad time to start asking questions) and now they are asking for more. I'm not sending them anymore and am going to see what happens tomorrow when I tell them I want to cancel. : (

Send a letter to Colorado AG and cc the closing company. Since it is rental contact, you should get money. Demand the result or closing company pay you back.

read your contract carefully to make sure you are OK. If you pay by credit card, you have I believe 2 month to dispute it. If you pay by Paypal, you can try to dispute it. If you pay by bank check, ask the copy of the check to see which id or bank cashed it and cc that state's AG also.

Well, it's been over a week & I am not able to speak to anyone at either Highend Vacation Properties or Corporate American Escrow. It's looking like they took my money and ran, but not too far since they are still operating under both companies. Hopefully no one else gives them their money. I am going to contact the AG in Colorado to put my complaint. Not sure how much good that will do, but I don't want anyone else to have to go thru what I'm going thru. : (

                  Highend Vacation Properties scam

We also were contacted by John Mack from Highend Vacation Properties & then by David Simmons from Corporate American Escrow. Thankfully we were directed here prior to sending back the contract. Thank you so much for letting people know about this scam. I have notified my Timeshare company, RCI and also filed a complaint with Reporting Economic Crime Online. If anyone has the time they should also file a complaint. This company has notified the RCMP & OPP in Canada & Internation Crime Complaint Center in the USA. I was to have mailed my contract back today. I did not, nor have I heard from either of these two companies. They may have given up on us, or, they may have closed for now.

Thank you for your response to my post. I have since posted another one warning people of these two companies. I have filed complaints with the BBB of Colorado & Missouri as well as a complaint to the Attorney General in California. I have not gotten anywhere, but at least I can warn others to not do business with these companies. I will make sure I file with the company you have suggested. Also, if you know of anything else I can do to spread the word, let me know. I really do apprecaite all the help I can get. : )
