  • Question about Resort International

Today I received a call from Steven Price from Resort International asking if my timeshare was still for sale. I said yes, and he said that he already had a buyer for it if I wanted to sale at the price that was quoted and I said yes. What I am asking is, Is this company a safe company to do business with because he said that Timeshare Transfer, Inc. will be handling the sale for them and I had to pay them a fee for closing costs and etc. I just need to know if they are on the up and up because I have been taken advantage of 2 other times in the past and the property has not been sold yet.

    Thank you,
    Betty

Any unsolicited call claiming to have a buyer and asking for money is most likely a scam. If you pay them an upfront fee, you will be strung along for months and then the buyer will "lose his financing" and you will lose your money. Don't fall for it.
