An alternative to Crimeshare

Some may remember the old Crimeshare website, the freewheeling ''tell all'' site about the crooks in the timeshare industry. If somebody was shady in the biz, their dealings usually ended up on Crimeshare. Unfortunately, some information that was posted ended up embarassing some leaders of the Organization for Timeshare in Europe, a major developers group, and they went on a crusade to shut the site down. There followed a cat and mouse game as Crimeshare popped up at new sites just as they shut the last one down. OTE's attorneys were constantly writing letters to try to intimidate any website in Europe that either allowed links to Crimeshare or even mentioned it. Eventually they tracked down those behind Crimeshare and it turned out to be officers of the long established Timeshare Consumers Association of the UK.

Crimeshare is now gone, but there is a source to seek or post info on a timeshare organization that is shady. It is not as freewheelling as Crimeshare and is more closely monitored, but for all of that is probably an even more reliable source of information. Its leaders are astute enough to avoid the problems that brought down Crimeshare. Of course, the site has lots of positives on timesharing, too, not just the negatives like Crimeshare.

I am talking about Shark Alley over at Timeshare Talk. The overall site has lots of timeshare info from all perspectives, but Shark Alley is especially for info on the shady characters.
