Looking over all the available timeshares for sale in Orlando. How to choose?
Anyone have a favorite? And why?

I do know I want to avoid RCI affiliation, as I am looking for good exchange/trade.

Look for a Marriott Grande Vista Platinum or Gold week that is part of the "Florida Club" - you can reserve at the 6 month mark at Marriott BeachPlace, Ocean Point, Doral in Miami and Legends End as part of the ownership. Grande Vista has Marriott preference in II and trades extremely well Marriott to Marriott - you can also rent or deposit (if u choose) the resies you make at the other 4 Marriott's in II or SFX or TPI - it is a reservation, not a trade.

Yes, you could reserve at Doral at 12 months and the other Fl Club resorts I named at 6 months.
In the past, Plat season at Legends Edge has been the cheapest way to buy in.
Even thought Doral and Legend Edge(End?) are non-lock-offs, you can reserve your FL Club as a studio and 1BR. The Fl Club membership is mentioned in the deed (I believe) - I know there were some units at Grand Vista sold without that particular clause - CMF - a TUG member ended up with one of those units and eventually sold it.
