Leisure Resort specialist - dont believe a word of it.

I had to keep playing the game with this "company". Rather than waste alot of your time I'm just going to say don't believe a word of it. This company has provided me with many phone numbers and names, even of privious happy "customers". I paid a search engine and crossed referenced the phone numbers and the names of these "satisfied customers" and not one number actually corresponded with the name they gave me. The address of 2258 Fillmore St. in SanFrancisco doesn't exist. I spoke with the owner of the restaurant next door, a very helpful person. Some one in his restaurant, even said from the background. "oh that the scam business that doesn't exist there. I saved myself $2793, that I was to wire to Mexico to pay the taxes. Gary Shepard and Mike are out to get your money.

      Very suspicious company

      Regarding Leisure Resort Specialist:

I heeded the cautions I read here and allowed them to "process" my sale to someone in Mexico. About a week before the anticipated closing date, I got an email telling me I had to pay over $3,000 in Mexican Real Estate Transfer tax to a location in Mexico.

When emailed them back telling them that unless they could take the "tax" out of the proceeds, they must be a scam. I heard nothing more from them. My experience was very consistent with others I have read here. Had I sent that money to Mexico, I would have been out that amount with no proceeds forthcoming since there would have been no sale.

I welcome comments about similar experiences.

        Leisure Resort Specialists

Don't believe a word of the sales pitch from Leisure Resort Specialists. They do put on a believeable pitch. Then just as you are ready to "Close" you get notice that you have to wire $3000, or whatever the tax is, to a Banamex in Mexico Ctiy. They send you to e mail web sites to verify it's true, and give you a bounty of phone numbers. I had a Latino friend actually call Mexico and nothing could be verified. I also talked to the neighbohood businesses next to 2258 Fillmore in SanFrancisco and they don't exist. They had heard that a scam business was using the address. I would do almost anything to get this people shut down. Suggestions?

You might contact the San Fransicso FBI office and file a complaint with the San Francisco BBB so others can look it up online.

So here is how it will go. You will be emailed the contract, it will look good, then someone will call to show you that you have to pay the Mexican tax by going to the Mexican government website. They will want you to wire the funds to their agent in Mexico who is handling the deal.

DO NOT WIRE ANY MONEY! IT IS A SCAM!!!

Anyone who has fallen victim- please report to your local FBI, Bancomer or any other bank this criminal group is using and most important report to your Attorney General's office. There may be remedy for vicitims but we need to raise our voices to crime.
