Anybody want to trade a Wyndham week for a week at Manhattan Place???

I would love to go to NYC this summer. Is there anyone out there who would like to trade a week rental at Wyndham for a week rental Manhattan place? I need a unit that will sleep five people. I am looking to go preferably in July some time.

You may have to sweeten the deal a bit. If I were seriously making the inquiry, I'd probably offer two Wyndham weeks for one Manhattan Club. That would be closer to parity, especially since you need to sleep 5.

I know that there ARE 2BR units at Manhattan Club but I have never seen any online or have heard of anyone actually getting one.

I also agree that you would need to offer two Wyndham weeks to get one week in a 1BR/2Bath unit at MC - they will let you put a rollaway bed in the 1BR unit.

RCI does offer Manhattan Club as a rental - you might want to check that out.

This will be very tough. I would expand your request to include the other timeshares in Manhattan. Most of the units in NYC are studios that only accommodate 2 people regardless of which timeshare. Also you are pretty late for requesting NYC.

Yes, well my family is very busy and it is hard to plan something too far out....I would take something else in Manhattan...I was just not quite sure of all that is out there. I did check with RCI and they said Manhattan Club is booked for a long time.

Not really. Some leases are still being signed.

I suggest reserving a hard to get larger unit at Wyndham Alexandria, National Harbor or similar and depositing with SFX. See what it is they have need of. As long as your request is pretty open for summer, all summer, you should be able get your request.

Typical largest unit is 1BR/ 2 bath/4 but as Pat stated TMC will allow a rollaway which may have a a small charge.

Check out the Affinia hotels in NYC. They are 1 & 2 br condo type units that you book like any hotel. They are always running specials.

The other two timeshares that I am familiar with in NYC are the HGVC West 57th Street and Hilton Vacations Club at the Hilton Hotel on the Avenue of the Americas. We have stayed at both the Manhattan Club and HGVC West 57th Street and we have a confirmed reservation at the Hilton Vacations Club for this June. I far prefer the HGVC and Hilton Vacations Club to the Manhattan Club. We are exchangers and not owners.

The OP needs to sleep 5, so I don't think HGVC would work? Have you gotten 1 bedrooms or studio/hotel at HGVC?
