Sedona is beautiful....Perfect for day trips to Scottsdale, and the Grand Canyon, as well. Enjoy!

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

My family happily goes wherever I book us into a timeshare, bless their hearts

This year: we leave tomrrow for Orlando (spring break, semi-local trip as we live 3 hrs. south), FL Gulf coast first week of June (celebrate end of school year. Also semi-local trip), Glacier National Park and Banff for 2 weeks, first weeks of July, FL Gulf Coast again at Thanksgiving (timeshere we own and use every year). In addition DH will go with his best bud to Key West in October (timeshare swap between owners).

DH has been traveling ALOT on business so far this year and DD and I hope to tag along on his trip to Seattle in early August and Germany in September (DD might have to miss some school but oh so worth it!).

My trouble is not figuring out where to go, but how to cram the most into every year! I see Lawren's great sightings and think 'how I can I work that in too??".

You can always get a map of the USA or Europe or wherever, throw a few darts and see what is 'meant to be' for a vacation destination! Fun!

One of the things I liked about getting into a points system is that it helped get me in focus on where I wanted to go. We aren't real strongly beach people or skiing people or anything, so while I'd made noises before about, "We should really go on a vacation," when I'd sit down to look I could never make up my mind. Then I got into a points system and I'm all, "Well, I'll just work through the resorts that appeal to me the next few years."

It's also not a vacation for us if there isn't a TS available, so that cuts out some places as well. And we try not to go to the same type of place each year, so if we went to the beach last year that cuts out that category. And we try to vary how far away stuff is, so if we drive a long way one vacation we stay closer to home the next.

We're going to Orlando this year -- we went last year, but I originally planned a quiet vacation and we ended up doing two days at Sea World and one at Disney World when we were only there for five days! So this one's a redo, where I get to do all the stuff I originally planned on. Leu Gardens, the Tiffany collection at Morse, maybe a trip to Homosassa Springs. But we've stretched it to two weeks so we can do Sea World and visit some of the WDW resorts and stuff as well.

Then we're going to Boyne Mountain, in upper Michigan, in June. Love that part of the country, and it's a 4 1/2 hour drive as opposed to the 18 hours it'll take to get to Orlando. Hubby and I have been there but the kids haven't; be interesting to see what they think!

Next year we're doing the vacations I planned on doing this year before I decided on a do-over; Branson, MO and Myrtle Beach, SC. We like Myrtle Beach but have never stayed right on the ocean, so that's the plan there. Never been to Branson; may try for Big Cedar and do a more resort-centered vacation, but if we don't, we'll just do the Branson area and see what we think of it.

Hardly ever have "trouble" figuring out where its a part I actually love ... my " bucket" list is large and timeshare opportunities abound... I just let them help me out...and let me imagination have fun.

Aruba, Cape Cod, Vermont , Hilton Head, Florida east and west coast, Arizona, California-- Newport both CA and RI , Beaver Creek, Park city...
the only trouble I have is narrowing it down and paying for it !

Timeshares don't affect our vacation destinations. We decide where we want to go and then I check if there is a suitable timeshare that would make sense. As such many of our trips do not involve timeshares. We spend about 60 nights a year in hotels which we usually prefer over timeshares.

We don't have any schedules to adhere to so we can come and go as we please. There are some places we visit regularly. We love where we live so we have no need to escape from here. Right now we have plans for both Hawaii and New York City this year.

Where are you going this year? maybe I just need to hear about someone elses vacation!
                Well let's see.

I'm going to the beach in May twice, June the beach, July the beach, August the Beach, September the Beach in California, October the Cali Dessert, October Disney, December Disney and maybe New York.

Yup, that's about it this year. Beach, Dessert and Disney.
Not much imagination I know but lucky for me I live in Florida which seems to be the state with the most timeshares in the world so I've got lots of choices. I stay in a new timeshare every year so it's an adventure just visiting the Florida beaches in my backyard, not to mention cheaper and don't have to deal with flying which just wastes 2 days of my vacation coming and going.

Oh and I'm sure I'll get a few extra Disney trips in between my beach time but they won't really count as vacations since they'll be just long weekends.

Sedona is definitely on my bucket list.

Oh Boy - better check those Oct dates for KW - if its 10/23 to 10/30, tell him to have fun and bring back pics!

I have no trouble deciding since I have a fixed week timeshare that I don't trade

Which I totally read as "sand, sand, and Disney." Sedona's pretty much sand and desert, too, while Disney's noise and crowds (although admittedly going in October cuts that to the minimum -- but it's Disney minimum, not the quiet of off-season Pigeon Forge or Wisconsin Dells).

But then, I like the Great Lakes better than the ocean, because oceanic beaches are noisy even when you're the only ones there.

FantasyFest? The 'boys' have decided they are just too old for it. Oh, the naked girls and the booze appeals, but not the crowds, noise and general mayhem.

DH still needs to be back on Oct 31 to take DD trick or treating anyway

Will that be cake, pie, or ice cream between your beach and Disney visits?

I was trying to figure out where the desserts were, too. I might have had to add it to my bucket list. I did hear an associate talking about going to France just for the pastries. I wouldn't go that far, but would definitely check them out.

For some reason I keep thinking of Mike's Pastries in Boston.

From all the beaches you visit which one do you like best and why?

All our timeshare are on the beach so we love them all and visit them practically every year. We are on Maui now and I am writing this while staring at the ocean!

For me, a beach vacation is always the default choice.. I am just been drawn to all those beautiful pictures I see of clear water and with sand, I go nuts about it…
And luckily, there’s a lot to choose from, I mean, the upper scale Caribbean islands, all the way down to cheap Mexican villages. My personal philosophy says that you can get hit any time anywhere by anything.. I have absolutely no control over that. Of course that doesn’t mean I will travel to Bagdad for a fishing vacation… : Just means that when I start thinking about it, NO Place Is “Safe”, because if it’s not an out/break of this or that kind, then it’s a Tsunami or something totally unexpected like a new clear meltdown.. And if MY end comes, I rather it to be when I’m doing something I’m satisfied about, rather than lying there thinking: “ Damm! I wish I got to do this before I died…”
But that’s just me and Luckily, my dear Hubbi knows this philosophy and agrees with it, and again, we don’t go on vacations to the Mexican –US border, or the beaches of Libya, but we did return from 8 days in Playa Del Carmen and it was Great!!
