  • Question about Bluegreen Travelers Plus

I am new here and purchased 7,000 annual Bluegreen points on the resale market for nothing but the transfer fee. I had 7,000 points in that purchase that rolled over from last year and a new set of 7,000 points this year. Our maintenance fees are $580 something a year plus the $129/year dues. I went for my wonderful owner's update today and have some questions that I was hoping someone could help me with.

Is there anyway to get the Travelers Plus program without going through the resort? Since I got these points for little of nothing I wanted to see if I achieved a certain level of gold, silver, etc.... if that would get me the Travelers Plus program.

I looked at Pinnacle by reading past posts and although I understand they are the only authorized company of resale points for Bluegreen I also didn't see anything as cheap as I would like it. Maybe I am not searching correctly but just trying to figure this out.

I also was told that my points would still roll over after the June 1st change in points policy but for them to be used for high red or ultra red I would have to pay $35 online or $50 over the phone. I am not concerned with the season as my husband and I only travel during the week and love going during the blue and white seasons because we like less crowds. We are finding that 7,000 is enough for us but we are interested in this Travelers Plus program.

We really would like to use the RCI nightly stays and not have to pay the exchange fee of $180.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

We also have 2 Wyndham timeshares that we bought resale and have yet to use them this year but are going to use them in August.

    Thanks so much!
    Carla

Authorized points from anywhere now cost over a dollar per point unless you can find a way around that rule. Boca Bum, who posts here, is your best bet for finding a better deal if there are any.

You need to pay to keep your points at all the second year; I had no heard that you could use them in seasons higher than red but I do know that they will simply expire if you don't pay the roll-over charge in time. This is a recent change and will be activated in April, if I remember rightly.
