New to RCI

Hey!

My husband and I are brand new to RCI and are looking for any tips on how to make the most out of the points and exchange weeks etc. Quite frankly, I'm a bit lost on how best to plan through RCI. Any pointers??

What do you own? Where do you want to travel? Are you flexible about when you travel or limited to school holidays? If you can be flexible you will get a lot out of RCI. If you can't be flexible, then you need to plan well in advance to get the most out of RCI, about 12 to 18 months ahead of you want to go to high demand locations.

We own 1 week in December at a resort in Vegas...we really would like to travel anywhere and can usually plan 4-6 months in advance.
I guess my questions are more about when I should deposit my week if we are not planning to use it. When to use points rather than exchange weeks. When to use $$ rather than points etc. etc.
