Considering a Bluegreen purchase...

Hello everyone. I did their sampler package last year for $995 for 9000 points. My girlfriend and I have enjoyed it. We are actually at Solara in Miami right now. I went through another presentation and they offered me a package of 6000 points every 2 years for $7000, plus $600 in annual fees. It is a small package, which is what I want (no kids, just 2 of us). Plus, they would apply the $995 I spent on the sampler back towards the $7000 package cost.

The real value I see is in the Travelers Plus with the Hot Weeks and hotel discounts, and also the unlimited bonus time. We are able to be spontaneous and leave last minute and it seems like there are some really good deals there.

So....the question is...is it worth it? Or, should I just buy from someone online looking to get out of their ownership? If I buy from someone online and transfer the ownership over, do I get the Traveler's Plus as well? Will I still get the bonus time?

I need to make a decision today. Thanks for your responses and help...

As others will probably say, do not do it! Despite the attraction to use the $995 paid for the sampler towards the package you will pay more than you should.

Contact BocaBum via PM and he will get you a better deal.

I too purchased the sampler package, and due to circumstances never got to use it. Despite that, I thought the benefits offerred were beneficial and purchased authorized points from him as my base to get the developer benefits still paying less than 50% what they were asking.

10000-19000: $675
20000+: $775.

Thanks for the responses guys. Good news...I did not buy and am very happy with my decision to turn it down. I might not have made the same decision if I hadn't found this site, so I appreciate your help.
