O.K. heres the deal. We just purchased in the Diamond Resort Hawaii Collection. We traded two resorts, which were strictly points, and purchased more points. These timeshares were a gift from my father in law. The problem is this, the salesman and his supervisor told us one of our properties was in Hilton Head (Coral Sands Resort). I told them we owned a westgate property (south Beach), but they said I was wrong. They also said the points could not be traded in and offered $1,500.00 for the 2000 points. When we got back home, I looked at our deed and we do own the Westgate South Beach Miami (the former Coral Sands Resort) not the Hilton Head Resort. All of the transfer paper refer to the Coral Sand Resort in Hilton Head. Now my questions:
1. What should I do?
2. Is a Westgate Resort worth more than a stand alone resort?
3. Should the 2000 points be able to transfer into our new resort?
4. Are the transfer documents void?
Thanks in advance for any help. I just want to have my ducks in a row before I contact them.
