I predicted long ago that one impact of RCI flooding the market with cheap rentals would be that it would depress the rental prices of timeshare owners who rent out their own weeks.

Fortunately, on the OBX there is enough demand for oceanfront resorts that we are not seeing a decline in rental prices yet. I use a local brick and mortar timeshare specialist broker to rent out my summer OBX week, and they get the job done and at a price where I make a good profit over my m/f.

Florida in March = Florida in August = melt

Actually, I am building up a pretty good following, with excellent feedback on another forum, renting out our $645 Main. Fee. weeks for $300.

I lose money on every deal, but make it up with volume.
