Just paid $1,100 for 182,000 points at wyndham fairfield harbour in newburn NC. Not worried one bit about home resort, only points. MF's are $730 a year. Pretty happy with what I got considering the amount of points and the low yearly MF. Any thoughts?

Did that include all closing costs?
The MF's seem reasonable.

Nope, closing was $800out but I see that as a necessary evil. I do have all this years points and though with no MF's till jan . Now just wondering how long it will take for Wyndham to recognize us as owners so we can book a lil vacation before end of the year. 30-60 days?Comment

It took me about 3 months to get my deed and then took Wyndham about another month to get recognized in the system. Hopefully they're moving quicker than they were last year when I bought mine.

It would be nice to use at least some of this years points as they are free, if not I guess i can always deposit into RCI. Does wyndham trade well into rci?

You might be better off having the former owner (technically still the owner) make a reservation for you using a guest certificate. That's what I did with my recent acquistion of points. The previous owner even gave me her username and password so I could search and book my own reservation. It worked well and if I had waited until the transfer process to finish I might not have gotten my reservation (Canterbury in San Francisco).
