Has any one had any dealing with this shady company? They have contacted my elderly parents to "help" them retrieve moneys they've lost to other timeshare scammers. They have a spiffy salesman who called and said my parents need to "respond by 3:00 p.m." or he can't get their money back. Of course, he wants money upfront and wants it via a credit card over the phone.

Their website has links to the Florida Attorney General to make it look more legit. BEWARE!!! The Better Business Bureau has given them a rating of "F". It is my opinion that anyone worth their weight would not ask for mone in such an urgent fashion nor would they claim they are going to "license" tm parents (whatever that means)

There have been numerous reports of a second wave of calls to consumers that were scammed out of upfront fees in an effort to sell their unwanted timeshare. Often, it appears to be the same individuals hoping for a second helping. On the second call- they pose as another "consumer advocacy" company that promises to get the first upfront fee refunded.

Normally, they will file a credit card dispute on the first charge which places a temporary credit on the timeshare sellers account. They often claim this "credit" gives them a reason to take their percentage or recovery fee.

However, what then occurs is that the credit card company denies the charge dispute (since it has been longer than 90 days) and reverses the credit. Afterwards, once again the consumer is unable to contact the company or arrange for any type of refund.

As a general rule, consumers should always avoid any type of "upfront fee" situation.

If you believe that you have been a victim of any type of consumer fraud- simply take the time to report the crime to the following organizations:

The attorney general in the state where you live.
The attorney general in the state where the property in question is located.
The attorney general in the state where the alleged scam business operates.

You should also report the consumer complaint to the Better Business Bureau at United States and Canada BBB Consumer and Business Reviews, Reports, Ratings, Complaints and Accredited Business Listings.
